AKC Canine Good CitizenTM The AKC Canine Good Citizen is a certification for ALL BREEDS AND MIXED BREEDS of dogs that is nationally recognized. It Certifies that your dog has good manners and can demonstrate those good manners in a variety of situations. Therapy Dogs  Two wonderful organizations that certify Therapy Dogs are Therapy Dogs International, www.tdi-dog.org and the Delta Society www.deltaSociety.org. Get involved in your community! After your dog has passed the Canine Good Citizen Test, you may want to get him certified for Therapy work. This is a very rewarding experience for you and your dog. Therapy dogs visit Nursing homes, hospitals, extended care facilities and other places where people cannot have their pets with them. Dante regularly visits his friends at the Missouri Veteran's home.	AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day   Every September the AKC and it's affiliated Clubs host Responsible Dog Ownership Day events around the United States.
